Access to medicines in Africa is in need of vast improvement.

At a recent industry conference it was highlighted that annually millions of preventable deaths exist due to lack of adequate vaccine supply. Individuals may have to walk large distances to reach healthcare institutions. There is no guarantee that this clinic is going to stock the medicine needed or have the member of staff available to support the individual.

Africa

Africa’s predicted growth to 2020 is projected to be driven by swift urbanisation, with a growing middle class. However, there is a forecasted increase of lifestyle diseases such as cancer and diabetes. Also there will be the inevitable combat against infectious diseases perpetuated by the region’s tropical habitat.
