va-Q-tec Passive Pallet Containers Approved For Transport On United Airlines

East Rutherford, New Jersey, August 6, 2013, va-Q-tec USA Inc. today announced that it has been approved for transport by United Cargo and the carrier will accept the va-Q-tainer container line for use within its TempControl and EXP product lines. The va-Q-tainers: va-Q-tainer USx, va-Q-tainer XL, and the va-Q-tainer Euro pallet deliver leading-edge passive capabilities to transport high value products by air on more than 150 wide body aircraft across United’s unrivaled global network. Va-Q-tec provides a global depot network, well-suited to support United and its customers with access to distribution points and fulfillment services worldwide.

The high performing va-Q-tainer will be offered as a United Cargo passive product providing customers with a unique set of capabilities not available amongst competing passive containers. Shippers can use the va-Q-tainer with fully-monitored, top boarding priority, just-in-time running as the structured TempControl product or as traditional air freight handling within the United EXP product offering.

The va-Q-tainer range is also capable of shipping at deep frozen, frozen, refrigerated, and control room temperature ranges by simply replacing the appropriate phase change materials. These capabilities combined with United Cargo services and va-Q-tec’s global depot network guarantee that healthcare and pharmaceutical products receive the highest level of handling and protection, ensuring that the products arrive at their destination excursion free and within the required temperature range.
