Cool Chain Excellence Awards are Open for Entries

Furthering the definition of best practice…

26 November 2013 Luxembourg –
Do you know someone, a team or organisation that has achieved outstanding results in temperature controlled logistics or supply chain innovation?

Cold Chain IQ is delighted to announce the opening of the 2014 Cool Chain Excellence Awards. The awards, in their seventh year, celebrateindividuals or teams that work hard to improve critical aspects of the temperature controlled supply chain. These awards have been designed to highlight key achievements made within the logistics industry that produce outstanding results and further the definition of best practice.

The awards are for bold, unconventional, innovative and forward-thinking supply chain and logistics leaders. The three categories available for entry are:

  1. Best Temperature Control Logistics Project
  2. Supply Chain Integrity Innovator of the Year
  3. Cold Chain IQ Lifetime Achievement Award

Last year
the awards celebrated the latest innovations at Frigo Trans, FedEx and Johnson and Johnson.

Cold Chain IQ believes the teams that apply innovation and a quality focus to their product and service development deserve recognition and the motivation for another year of strong results. Winning an award at the event has proven to give these firms significant credibility and recognition from their internal stakeholders and customer profile with many previous winners attributing the awards as a direct boost to their business achievements.

Submissions close on 29 November 2013 and entry packs can be downloaded online from www.coolchianeurope.com/awards.

The shortlist will be announced mid December with selected finalists being judged by our advisory board according to the following criteria;

  • Novelty, pursuit of entrepreneurship and industry best practice
  • Technical excellence, content, validity and applicability
  • Excellence in efficiency or improvements (cost cutting, improvement docs, service levels, patient safety, reduced risk, streamlined processes, etc.)
  • Impact to company, business or end user

Before the January conference, the supply chain and logistics community at large will have a chance to cast a vote online.

Winners will be announced during the annual ceremony on January 28, 2014.
