What is the Cool Chain Logistics Europe Excellence Awards?

When individuals or teams work hard improve certain aspects of the cold chain, it's an honour to not just be paid for the work, but to be recognised for those achievements. The Cool Chain Logistics Europe Excellence Awards have been designed to highlight key achievements made within companies and within the cold chain industry that produce outstanding results and furthers the definition of best practice.

For the Cool Chain Logistics Europe 2013 Excellence Awards. Before the January conference, the cool chain community at large will have a chance to cast a vote online.

How does it work?

  1. The winners will be chosen by our public voting system and expert judging panel
  2. Nominations close on 14th December 2012
  3. Online voting then starts on 7th December 2013
  4. Winners are announced at Cool Chain Logistics Europe in Basel


Eligibility Criteria

  • Open to temperature control professionals world-wide
  • Self nominations are accepted ONLY with a Supporting Nomination by client or user (not from same company as nominee). The Supporting Nomination requires a second nomination form to be filled out by the client or user
  • A representative from the nominee organisation must be present to win and accept award


Entry Process

  • Fully complete and send the completed nomination form (see form below)
  • Send supplementary information to support the nomination to nicola.ambler@iqpc.co.uk including:
    • A PowerPoint presentation describing the project, initiative or team – limited to 15 slides (to be posted online and on-site at the conference for 'public' and 'community' judging. i.e. a PPT presentation is highly encouraged to contend with other nominees)
    • White Papers or published articles
    • Team or colleague or ‘user’ testimonials
    • Alternative to PPT presentation, a Word document up to 1500 words or 3 pages


Judging Criteria

  • Novelty, pursuit of entrepreneurship and industry best practice
  • Technical excellence, content, validity and applicability
  • Excellence in efficiency or improvements (cost cutting, improvement docs, service levels, patient safety, reduced risk, streamlined processes, etc)
  • Impact to company, business or end user
