Viq Pervaaz, Senior Vice President, Corporate Transactions and Transformation; Pharma Industry Initiative Leader at Aon Hewitt, speaks to Andrea Charles from Pharma IQ, about merger and acquisition activity in the pharmaceutical industry in the current financial climate, current challenges associated with clinical trials in emerging markets and how mergers and acquisitions are impacting the temperature control supply chain. Pervaaz also shares his top tips for successfully executing global clinical trials during an acquisition.

Viq came to Aon Hewitt after a strong tenure in the pharmaceutical/clinical industry. He has led operations, project management, business development, marketing and regulatory affairs on an international level. Most recently, Viq leveraged his lean six sigma and alliance management expertise to restructure a global project management solution provider to eight of the top ten global pharmaceutical companies with a focus on timely delivery of quality product. In addition, Viq has served in various capacities in the C-suite with key responsibility for 150+ million USD as well as corporate strategy and development. He has presented at numerous conferences in the healthcare arena and also served as Assistant Professor at Temple University.
