Exploring Opportunities and Challenges in Ocean Shipment of Vaccines

Add bookmark

Most ocean freight markets are showing growth in shipping volumes and there has been an increase in the availability of reefer plug-in points at ports. In this paper PATH and WHO explore the opportunities and risks in ocean shipment of vaccines.

In consideration of the volatile global economy, the growing costs of airfreight, and the risk associated with diminished air cargo capacity, project Optimize evaluated ocean freight as a potentially secure and economic alternative method to transport vaccines.

Ocean Shipment of Vaccines describes the project’s methodology, findings, and recommendations.
